How do I find out what my coin is worth?

What is a mint mark?
A small letter or symbol showing which mint struck the coin. On US coins, for example, D stands for Denver and S for San Francisco. The same coin from different mints can have very different values.
Are the values shown an appraisal?
No. They are indicative catalogue estimates by grade from a third-party source, shown with the date they were retrieved. They are not an appraisal or certified grading.
